Rubber Floor Mats from Clean Power
These Clean Power mats use rubber where it matters most: solid NBR rubber anti-fatigue and anti-slip mats for standing work and wet areas, heavy-duty stair mats for exterior steps, and rubber-backed entrance, workshop and garage mats that stay flat and grip the floor. Every model can be made in custom sizes, colors and logo designs.
Pure™ Anti-Fatigue Mat
100% NBR rubber with a textured non-slip surface. Resists oil and chemicals, with anti-static and antibacterial properties for industrial workstations.
Soser Anti-Fatigue Mat
Resilient 100% NBR rubber that cushions legs and back during long shifts and keeps its grip in wet or oily areas.
Yclean Entrance Mat
Dual-tone nylon surface on a 100% NBR rubber backing that stays flat, resists curling and grips smooth lobby floors.
Bara Workshop Mat
Open-grid scraper surface on a durable rubber backing. Liquids, oil and dirt drain through, keeping workshop floors dry and safe.
Heavy-Duty Rubber Garage Mat
Nylon surface on a heavy-duty nitrile rubber backing that protects garage and workshop floors from oil, scratches and heavy loads, with custom logo printing.
Lcolor Aluminum Rubber Mat
Anodized aluminum profiles with rubber inserts for permanent, high-traffic building entrances.
Sulan
Textured NBR surface with drainage channels that keeps its grip in wet or oily conditions.
Outdoor Rubber Stair Mats For Wet Weather And Heavy Use
Heavy-duty modular stair mats with a three-in-one scraping surface for wet, high-traffic exterior steps.
Why Choose Rubber Floor Mats?
Rubber is one of the most practical materials for commercial and industrial flooring. It is dense, elastic and naturally slip-resistant, so a rubber mat stays in place and keeps its grip in conditions where other materials fail.
- Slip resistance: rubber grips both the floor below and the shoe above, even when wet.
- Cushioning: elastic rubber absorbs impact and reduces strain for people who stand for long periods.
- Durability: a quality rubber floor mat resists tearing, compression and abrasion under heavy foot traffic, carts and equipment.
- Stability: the weight and friction of a rubber backing stop mats from curling, sliding or bunching.
- Chemical and oil resistance: nitrile (NBR) rubber in particular stands up to oils, greases and many cleaning chemicals.
- Noise and vibration control: rubber dampens footsteps and equipment vibration.
Types of Rubber Floor Mats
| Type | Construction | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Rubber anti-fatigue mats | Solid or cellular rubber, often NBR, with a textured surface and beveled edges | Assembly lines, workstations, retail counters, commercial kitchens |
| Rubber-backed entrance mats | Nylon or polypropylene surface bonded to a rubber backing | Lobbies, corridors, elevator areas, shop entrances |
| Drainage and grid mats | Perforated or open-grid rubber, or a grid surface on a rubber base | Wet processing areas, bar and kitchen floors, workshops |
| Heavy-duty rubber matting | Thick, dense rubber sheets or tiles | Warehouses, loading areas, equipment zones |
| Rubber garage and workshop mats | Rubber or rubber-backed mats that trap oil and protect the floor | Garages, service bays, motorcycle and vehicle showrooms |
| Aluminum and rubber entrance systems | Aluminum profiles with rubber scraper inserts | Permanent, recessed entrances in high-traffic buildings |
Natural Rubber vs NBR vs Recycled Rubber
Not all rubber performs the same. The compound decides how a mat handles oil, temperature and wear.
| Rubber type | Strengths | Limitations | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Natural rubber | High elasticity and comfort, good grip | Swells and breaks down with oil and grease | Dry areas, general anti-fatigue use |
| Nitrile (NBR) rubber | Excellent oil, grease and chemical resistance; stays stable over time | Higher cost than basic compounds | Industrial workstations, kitchens, garages, entrance mat backings |
| SBR / recycled rubber | Low cost, very durable, sustainable | Heavier, can have odor, limited colors | Heavy-duty matting, outdoor and utility areas |

How to Choose Heavy-Duty Rubber Floor Mats
1. Start with contaminants
If the floor sees oil, grease or cutting fluids, choose NBR rubber. Natural rubber can swell and soften in oily areas. For water and liquids, choose a drainage design with holes or an open grid so liquids fall below the walking surface.
2. Match thickness to the task
Standing workstations benefit from cushioned anti-fatigue mats, while carts and forklifts need thinner, denser matting that does not deform. Very thick, soft mats are not always better: the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety notes in its guidance on anti-fatigue mats that too much cushioning can increase fatigue and trip risk.
3. Check the edges
Beveled or tapered edges let carts roll over the mat and reduce trip hazards. Keeping walkways free of trip and slip hazards is a basic workplace duty under OSHA’s walking-working surfaces standard.
4. Think about cleaning
Solid rubber mats are easy to hose down; rubber-backed textile mats can be vacuumed and washed. In food and healthcare areas, look for antibacterial compounds and designs that can be lifted and sanitized.
5. Size it to the space
Standard sizes suit most workstations, but custom rubber floor mats fit irregular layouts, long production lines and branded entrances. As a manufacturer, we cut, join and print mats to your drawings.
Where Rubber Floor Mats Work Best
- Industrial and manufacturing: oil-resistant NBR anti-fatigue mats at workstations and assembly lines. See our oil-resistant mats and our guide to choosing oil-resistant anti-fatigue mats.
- Commercial kitchens: drainage and anti-fatigue rubber mats that stay safe around water and grease. Learn more in our guide to rubber kitchen mats.
- Garages and workshops: rubber-backed mats that trap oil and protect concrete. Browse garage mats and workshop mats.
- Building entrances: rubber-backed textile mats and aluminum-rubber systems that stop dirt at the door. See our aluminum entrance matting system.
- Stairs: textured treads for entrance steps and stairwells. See our non-slip stair treads and rubber vs vinyl stair treads.
How to Clean Rubber Floor Mats
Regular cleaning keeps rubber mats safe and extends their life:
- Shake out or sweep loose dirt, or vacuum rubber-backed textile mats.
- Wash solid rubber mats with warm water and a neutral detergent, using a stiff brush on textured surfaces.
- Rinse thoroughly. Soap residue can make rubber slippery.
- Let the mat dry completely before putting it back, and check that the floor underneath is dry.
- Avoid solvents, bleach and oily dressings, which can degrade rubber or leave a slick film.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are rubber floor mats slip-resistant?
Yes. Rubber naturally grips both the floor and footwear. For wet or oily areas, choose a textured or drainage surface and an oil-resistant compound such as NBR.
What is the best rubber for oily floors?
Nitrile (NBR) rubber. It resists oils, greases and many chemicals that cause natural rubber to swell and break down.
Can rubber floor mats be used outdoors?
Many can. Choose UV-stable compounds and drainage designs for exterior use. Rubber-backed textile mats are usually better under cover.
Do rubber mats damage floors?
Quality rubber mats protect floors, but some compounds can discolor sealed or vinyl surfaces over time. Ask us for a non-marking option if you are placing mats on sensitive finishes.
Do you make custom rubber floor mats for distributors?
Yes. We supply distributors, contractors and facility managers worldwide with custom sizes, colors, logos and private-label packaging, with samples before production.
