What Is EVA?
EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) is a flexible, rubber-like polymer. It is best known as the soft foam in sports shoes and children’s puzzle mats, but the same material can be molded into dense, durable tiles for commercial flooring. When people search for EVA floor mats, they usually find soft foam mats for homes and gyms. Commercial EVA entrance mats are firmer and designed for foot traffic, weather and cleaning.

EVA Foam Mats vs Commercial EVA Tiles
Soft EVA foam mats are designed for cushioning in homes, play rooms and home gyms. They are not built for outdoor weather, shoe grit or public traffic. Commercial EVA entrance tiles use a denser structure, open drainage and scraping brushes. If you need matting for a building entrance, choose a commercial tile rather than a foam mat.
